Designing for impact

Great design is the blend of form and function, where aesthetics and purpose align to create something memorable, impactful and effective. Whether it’s a website, a report, a logo, or an infographic, great design is clear, intentional and resonates with its audience.

Great design:

  • Tells a story and communicates a message while fulfilling its practical objectives.
  • Uses thoughtful typography, striking visuals and cohesive layouts to ensure clarity and ease of use.
  • Doesn’t just capture attention; it holds it, leaving a lasting impression that connects with people on a deeper level.
  • Reflects the essence of the organisation it represents, creating a visual identity that is both distinctive and timeless.
The all-women LESA team comprises skilled professionals, including experienced web designers, content creators, graphic designers, communication strategists, technologists, media specialists and trainers. Each person keeps abreast of the latest tech and communication innovations.

Social impact and good design

Social impact and good design are intertwined. Good design can have an economic impact by

  • Creating new markets
  • Improving product efficiency and viability
  • Enhancing the attractiveness of goods and services

This can lead to job creation, economic development and improved quality of life in communities. Through visual communication, product design and interactive experiences, LESA’s writers and designers highlight important issues that can inspire action and influence decision-makers.

Here’s an example of great design coupled with social impact:

LESA brings a distinct perspective to every assignment or project we undertake. Our expertise is exemplified in projects like the 5th Anniversary Africa’s Business Heroes coffee table book sponsored by the Jack Ma and Alibaba Foundations.
